Day 4
On our way to Rocky Point

Time to clen up!

Ralp was waiting and we said goodbye to the pontoon boats and the 6 guys from Concordia who took us there.

Day 3
Home sweet home. . . At least for now, Concordia, KY.

At mid morning Eddie came back in Hubert's boat with his friend Steve and the parts. They pulled the boat into the shallow water, so Jimmy could put the propeller on; a very difficult task to do under water. After a couple hours we knew it couldn't be done.

We loaded into Hubert's boat and went to Clark's Tavern for the BEST fish sandwich! For those who haven't been there, we suggest you give it a try. We spent part of the afternoon at Steve's house and had a great time in the company of such good folks. There is a lot to be said for good ole KY hospitality! Eddie dropped Gary and I off at The Lucky Lady and took Jimmy with him to line up someone to tow us to Rocky Point Marina, 30 miles downstream.

Having thought Jimmy would probably get his ski boat and come back the next morning, we settled in for a quiet night onboard. Shortly thereafter we saw someone on the bank approaching from downstream. This guy, who seemed rather creepy, sat down directly across from our boat and howled like a wolf. He asked us for a ride. He asked us for a beer. We realized it was Jimmy and I rowed the dinghy in to being him back. All had been arranged. Two pontoon boats would arrive the next morning and tow us to Rocky Point.

Circumstance put us in Concordia and two days were spent with finest of people, who treated us like lifelong friends.

Day 2
The suns coming up and burning away the fog.
The fog is gone and it's time to go. . . . . But we can't!
Whether is forward or reverse we can't move at all. After a while Jimmy confirmed the problem. The propeller had come off.

After a while some yelled to us from the bank. They agreed to bring us a propeller when arrangements could be made. Within two hours a fishing boat pulled up, thanks to the Jesse on the bank. Eddie and Hubert said they would help us in any way they could. We hung out together for quite a while that night and Jimmy soon realized they had several mutual friends. Bo Parsons brought two propellers and other parts late that night and left them at clark's tavern.
Day 1 was the perfect day for going down the river. We went about 85 miles and stopped just below Concordia, KY and just above Flint Island.

Day 1
Saying goodbye to Louisville and its Legendary Lady
 Mcalpine locks and damn
Doesn't the guy standing at the rail look like Glenn Rush?
