Repairs completed early Thursday afternoon and the lucky lady left Rocky Point at 3:30. She did very well and Jimmy commented that she was better than ever. Anchored in just up from Owensboro, KY. Friday took to Evansville, IN, arriving about 5:30 in the evening. Glenn and Karen Rush got there shortly thereafter. Needless to say, it was great to see them. We ate together and had a really good time.
Today is Saturday, 9/17/16. Was a nice day for traveling downstream. We are currently moored at mile 841.5 and will lock through John T Myers lock at mile 846 early tomorrow morning and continue on. The Lucky Lady had a few visitors in Evansville and everyone seemed to appreciate the journey she made over the past 42 years.
Today is the 18th, one day after Danny and Ed's birthdays. Just talked to Jimmy and they just went thru the John Meyer locks. They are now cruising and hope to get to the marina a Golconda, IL tonight. If all goes well they will go thru the Golconda locks tomorrow and, not far past there, enter the Cumberland river. Both Bobby and Jimmy seem to be having a great time. johnny
