Left a bit later than we planned, as the fog was determined to hang on for as long as it possibly could.    Though we were anxious to go, The Lucky Lady was content to wait and leave at just the right time.  We did.
Around mid afternoon, the IL side of the river revealed it's pallisades and there it was, Cave in the Rock.  Interesting place with a violent past.  There is a ferry operating here that can ferry across . . . several vehicles.
The Lucky Lady soon reached her destination: Golconda,  IL.  We were welcomed to the marina by a friendly boater named Jim.  We went up to the store for ice and a river otter popped up out of the water, as if to let us know that we were in his backyard.  I tried til after dark to see him or her again and get a picture.  No luck there, but did hear a lot of commotion all night long.  Not sure if it was Otter or some of the Asian carp that have been jumping around the boat from the beginning of this journey.
